Goodwill of Western and Northern Connecticut in Bloomfield, CT, seeks a Shift Supervisor to oversee store operations during assigned shifts and ensure exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities include opening/closing the store, delegating tasks, handling refunds, recording daily reports, operating the POS system, and maintaining a clean, organized sales floor while promoting merchandise to customers.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• 1 year experience in retail sales including cashiering, customer service, display, shipping/receiving and inventory duties.
• Ability to lead and direct team members.
• Basic math for cash handling and ability to operate register.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for store operations during assigned shift.
• Opening and closing retail store.
• Delegating work assignments to associates and ensuring tasks are completed.
• Providing excellent customer service when promoting merchandise, handling complaints, and issuing refunds.
• Completing daily documentation and financial reports.
• Sell merchandise to customers, operate POS system, and thank them for supporting our mission.
• Stock duties including merchandise rotation, hanger changes, and display work.
• Recording inventory received or returned to warehouse.
• Maintaining a clean and neat store.
