Job summary

O’Reilly Auto Parts in Lynchburg, VA is seeking a Retail Service Specialist to support store leadership in delivering exceptional customer service and smooth store operations.

You will assist in leading customer service, supervising showroom activities, processing orders, handling returns, and ensuring accurate invoicing. The role may involve shift management in the absence of the Store Manager and requires strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• RSS Certification required or able to obtain.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead store team in delivering excellent customer service to retail and professional customers.
• Supervise customer service levels in the showroom, including execution of service programs.
• Answer telephone calls per company policy.
• Process buy online/ship to store, hub and store-to-store transfers, and DC add orders; contact customers on shipment arrivals.
• Handle special orders and outside purchases efficiently and per procedure.
• Process returns and exchanges; issue refunds using correct payment methods.
• Ensure all merchandise is invoiced before leaving the store.
• Communicate Zipline messages and delegate merchandising tasks as assigned.
• Adhere to posted work schedules; ensure proper clock-in/out and deviations approved by management.
• Perform opening/closing duties and day-end procedures; secure money and deposits; lock doors; secure delivery vehicles.
• All other duties as assigned.
