New Balance Athletics, Inc. is seeking a Retail Sales Associate in Richmond, VA to deliver exceptional service and product expertise. You will greet customers, determine needs, explain features, and guide them through the purchase with confident, friendly assistance.

The role emphasizes teamwork, accurate checkout, and maintaining a welcoming selling floor. You'll help customers find the right NB footwear and apparel, share promotions, and ensure accurate fitting and labeling while upholding

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Past retail experience preferred, but not necessary.
• Strong customer service and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to flourish in a team environment.
• Familiarity with cash register functions.
• Ability to quickly perform basic math.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule including weekends/holidays.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs with assistance; stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service using proper selling techniques, product knowledge, and the GUEST service model.
• Greet customers, understand their needs, and educate on product features and benefits.
• Solve customer questions and facilitate the sale through suggestive selling.
• Correctly measure and fit customers with NB products and inform about promotions.
• Keep the floor neat, labeled, and well stocked; monitor security and prevent shrinkage.
• Follow safety regulations and report accidents or near misses.
• Process transactions efficiently with accuracy at the cash register.
