Job summary

The Michaels Companies in Shakopee, MN seeks a Sales Manager to lead a high-performing selling culture and deliver a best-in-class customer experience. You will oversee front-end operations, coach teammates, and ensure brand standards and operational expectations are met across the store.

Responsibilities include optimizing POS and Self-Checkout, supporting omni-channel services, promoting loyalty, and mentoring staff to achieve key sales and service KPIs with strong customer focus.

Qualifications

• 3+ years retail leadership experience.
• Experience coaching and developing teams in a high-volume store.
• Proven ability to drive sales and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in leading adherence to SOPs and company programs.
• Ensure execution of company policies and standards by the team.
• Model and coach customer experience and selling behaviors to improve conversions.
• Provide MOD coverage and maintain floor leadership and service standards.
• Oversee POS and Self-Checkout systems for smooth transactions.
• Lead in-store programs like Balloons, birthday parties, and events.
• Promote Loyalty Rewards and drive customer retention.
• Drive services like MCC/Extend and Knit & Sew Shop oversight.
• Ensure BOPIS and Same Day Delivery efficiency and omni-channel service.
• Coach team members through structured onboarding and skills development.
• Support Asset Protection and reduce shrink through compliance.
