Job summary

The Michaels Companies is seeking a Retail Sales Manager in Columbia, MO to lead a dynamic store team and drive top-line results. You will champion selling excellence, manage front-end operations, and ensure consistent customer experiences across channels.

You’ll coach employees, monitor KPIs, and ensure compliance with SOPs while promoting loyalty programs and in-store events. This role requires flexibility to work nights, weekends, and early mornings in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years retail leadership experience.
• Ability to work nights, weekends and early mornings.
• Must satisfy federal, state, and local requirements for the job.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in leading and managing adherence to SOPs and Company programs to ensure compliance with applicable laws and requirements.
• Ensure execution of Company policies and standards, holding team accountable for store conditions and results.
• Model and coach best-in-class Customer Experience and ART of Selling behaviors, driving conversion and customer satisfaction.
• Provide Manager-on-Duty (MOD) coverage, maintaining floor leadership, service standards, and operational continuity.
• Ensure accurate and efficient use of POS and Self-Checkout systems, supporting smooth transactions and customer support.
• Oversee in-store programs and events and enroll customers in Loyalty Rewards Program.
