Job summary

The Michaels Stores in Saint Joseph, MO, is seeking a Sales Manager to lead front-end and service operations, uphold SOPs, and model best-in-class customer experiences. You will drive selling behaviors, coach team members, and ensure consistent in-store execution to meet KPIs while delivering an engaging shopping experience.

You will oversee Loyalty Programs, BOPIS and Same Day Delivery, and coordinate with framing and special events.

Qualifications

• 3+ years retail leadership experience.
• Ability to oversee front-end and service operations.
• Strong coaching for customer-focused selling.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coach selling behaviors to drive customer satisfaction and conversion.
• Oversee front-end, service operations, and adherence to SOPs.
• Provide Manager-on-Duty coverage and floor leadership.
• Ensure accurate use of POS and Self-Checkout systems.
• Promote Loyalty Rewards Program and protection plan offerings.
• Support Knit & Sew Shop and BOPIS/Same Day Delivery.
• Train and develop team in assigned departments.
• Maintain Asset Protection practices and reduce shrink.
