Job summary

Michaels in North Aurora, IL is seeking a Sales Manager to lead front-end and service operations, driving a high-performing selling culture and strong sales results while delivering an engaging customer experience.

You will coach teams, ensure SOP compliance, manage POS/Self-Checkout, and oversee loyalty enrollment, BOPIS, and Same Day Delivery to optimize omni-channel service. This role requires 3+ years of retail leadership and flexibility for varied shifts.

Qualifications

3+ years of retail leadership experience.
Ability to lead and coach front‑end and service operations.
Strong focus on customer experience and selling behaviors.

Responsibilities

Lead and champion selling culture across the store.
Ensure SOPs and company programs are followed.
Coach and develop team members through onboarding and ongoing training.
Provide Manager-on-Duty coverage and maintain floor leadership.
Oversee POS and Self-Checkout operations and omni‑channel services (BOPIS, Same Day Delivery).
Promote Loyalty Rewards Program and protection plans where applicable.
Support in-store programs (Balloons, Knit & Sew Shop, Custom Framing).
Protect assets and reduce shrink through compliance and vigilance.
