Job summary

The Michaels Companies is seeking a Sales Manager in Bridgeport, CT to lead front-end operations and customer experience across the store. You will coach team members, ensure SOP compliance, and manage POS and loyalty initiatives while driving sales and service KPIs.

Responsibilities include MOD coverage, omni-channel fulfillment, party and program oversight, and staff development in a fast-paced retail environment. Nights, weekends, and early mornings are required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years retail leadership experience.
• Ability to lift 25–50 pounds with or without accommodations.
• Ability to work nights, weekends and early mornings.

Responsibilities

• Lead store operations and ensure SOPs and company programs are followed.
• Coach customer experience and selling behaviors to drive conversion.
• Provide MOD coverage and maintain front-end leadership.
• Oversee POS, Self-Checkout, and omni-channel fulfillment (BOPIS/Same Day Delivery).
• Oversee balloons, birthday party operations and in-store programs.
• Drive loyalty enrollment and customer retention.
• Support knit & sew shop and Cut Bar operations.
• Train and develop team through onboarding and ongoing coaching.
• Maintain Asset Protection practices and shrink control.
