Job summary

The Michaels Companies in Middletown, RI is seeking a Sales Manager to drive a high-performing selling culture across the store. You will lead front-end and service operations, coach the team, and ensure brand standards and operational excellence.

Responsibilities include managing SOPs, POS usage, in-store events, loyalty programs, and DOT/ODx style customer engagement, with emphasis on omnichannel fulfillment and safeguarding assets. Nights/weekends required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years retail leadership experience.
• Able to stand and move around the store for long periods.
• Willing to work nights, weekends and early mornings.
• Knowledge of SOPs and company policies.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in leading adherence to SOPs and programs.
• Model and coach customer experience and selling behaviors.
• Provide Manager-on-Duty coverage and floor leadership.
• Ensure accurate use of POS and Self-Checkout systems.
• Oversee balloons, birthday party operations and in-store programs.
• Promote Loyalty Rewards and protection plan services.
• Drive omni-channel services including BOPIS and Same Day Delivery.
• Train and develop team through onboarding and coaching.
• Maintain Asset Protection practices to reduce shrink.
