Job summary

The Michaels Companies in Westport, CT is seeking a Retail Sales Manager to lead a high-performing team and deliver an engaging customer experience across front-end and service operations.

You will coach partners on selling behaviors, manage POS/Self-Checkout, oversee in-store programs, drive loyalty enrollment, and ensure omni-channel order fulfillment while maintaining brand standards and SOP adherence.

Qualifications

• 3+ years retail leadership experience.
• Ability to work nights, weekends and early mornings.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage adherence to SOPs and company programs.
• Coach staff on Customer Experience and ART of Selling behaviors.
• Provide MOD coverage, maintaining floor leadership and service standards.
• Oversee POS and Self-Checkout operations.
• Drive loyalty program enrollment and omni-channel service.
• Promote and oversee in-store programs (Balloons, Knit & Sew Shop, Custom Framing where applicable).
• Train, coach, and develop team members through structured onboarding.
