Job summary

Michaels in St. Louis, MO is seeking a full-time Sales Manager to lead a high-performing store team, drive sales results, and deliver a engaging customer experience.

You will coach front-end and service operations, uphold SOPs, manage POS efficiency, and mentor staff through onboarding while partnering with store leadership to hit KPIs.

Additionally you will oversee the Knit & Sew Shop, Balloons program, loyalty enrollment, and omni-channel services to ensure outstanding shopping experiences.

Qualifications

• 3+ years retail leadership experience.
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and early mornings.
• Physical ability to stand, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in leading and ensuring SOP compliance and company programs.
• Model and coach customer experience and ART of Selling to improve conversion and satisfaction.
• Provide Manager-on-Duty coverage, floor leadership and operational continuity.
• Oversee POS and Self-Checkout for smooth transactions and support.
• Oversee balloons, birthday parties and other in-store programs and events.
• Promote and enroll customers in the Loyalty Rewards Program.
• Champion MCC/Extend services and protection plan adoption.
• Drive sales and operations in Knit & Sew Shop and Cut Bar experience.
• Ensure BOPIS and Same Day Delivery execution.
• Support Custom Framing operations and frame shop coordination.
• Train and develop team through onboarding and ongoing coaching.
• Maintain Asset Protection practices to reduce shrink.
