Job summary

The Salvation Army San Jose Stevens Creek Thrift Store is seeking a part-time Sales Lead to support daily store operations at the SJ store. You will partner with the Store Manager to manage POS, inventory, and merchandising while delivering excellent customer service.

Responsibilities include supervising staff, scheduling shifts, and helping drive sales toward budgeted goals. The role emphasizes security, safety, and community engagement in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year retail experience.
• Supervisory experience preferred.
• Background check will include Criminal History and Sex Offender Registry.
• Ability to communicate effectively with management, fellow staff, customers and donors.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager with daily operations, opening/closing, POS and inventory.
• Schedule store employees to ensure coverage and coordinate meetings.
• Monitor KPIs to drive store sales and profitability as per budgets.
• Provide coaching, training and development to store staff.
• Ensure customer and donor satisfaction and maintain community relations.
• Protect store currency, inventory and property; manage safety and security procedures.
