Job summary

The Michaels Companies Inc. is seeking a Sales Manager for the Toledo, OH area to lead a high-performing selling culture and customer-focused operations. You will drive sales KPIs, coach staff, and ensure exceptional store execution across front-end and service areas.

Responsibilities include coaching on customer experience, leading MOD coverage, managing POS and in-store programs, and promoting loyalty and protection services. Nights, weekends, and early mornings are required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years retail leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in leading SOPs and Company programs to ensure compliance with laws and requirements.
• Ensure execution of Company policies and standards, maintaining store conditions and results.
• Model and coach customer experience and ART of Selling behaviors to drive conversion and satisfaction.
• Provide Manager-on-Duty coverage, maintaining floor leadership and service standards.
• Oversee POS and Self-Checkout operations for smooth transactions and support.
• Manage in-store programs such as Balloons, birthday party operations, and events.
• Promote Loyalty Rewards Program to drive retention and visits.
• Drive Netflix? (US only) MCC/Extend services adoption by customers.
• Lead Knit & Sew Shop and Cut Bar experience oversight for sales/ops.
• Oversee BOPIS and Same Day Delivery for omni-channel service.
• Support Custom Framing operations with consultations and coordination.
• Train and develop team through onboarding and ongoing skill-building.
• Support Asset Protection to reduce shrink.
