Job summary

The Michaels Companies Inc. is seeking an experienced retail leader for our Meriden, CT store. You will assist the Store Manager in executing SOPs, policy adherence, and a high standard of customer experience while ensuring smooth POS operations and event programs.

You will provide Manager-on-Duty coverage, lead a team across departments, and support omni-channel services like BOPIS and Same Day Delivery, with a focus on protecting assets and driving sales growth.

Qualifications

• 3+ years retail leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in leading and managing adherence to SOPs and Company programs.
• Ensure execution of Company policies and standards, maintaining store conditions and results.
• Model and coach Customer Experience and ART of Selling to drive conversion and satisfaction.
• Provide Manager-on-Duty coverage and maintain floor leadership.
• Oversee BOPIS and Same Day Delivery for omni-channel service.
• Train and develop team members across departments.
• Partner in Asset Protection to reduce shrink.
• Support Special departments (Balloons, Knit & Sew Shop, Custom Framing) as needed.
