Job summary

New Balance Athletics, Inc. is seeking Retail Sale Associates to ensure smooth store operations and deliver exemplary customer service.

You will use expert product knowledge to assist customers through every step of the purchase, representing the NB brand with confidence. Responsibilities include greeting customers, understanding needs, educating on features, handling transactions, fitting products, and keeping the floor neat.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Past retail experience preferred, but not necessary.
• Strong customer service and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to flourish in a team environment.
• Familiarity with cash register functions.
• Ability to quickly perform basic math.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule that may include weekends and holidays.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service using proper selling techniques, product knowledge, and the GUEST service model.
• Greet and make customer contact.
• Understand the customer's needs.
• Educate the customer on product features and benefits.
• Solve customer problems and answer questions.
• Transact the sale with suggestive selling and closing.
• Correctly measure and fit customers with appropriate NB product.
• Inform customers about promotions and events.
• Keep the selling floor neat, organized, and well stocked.
• Ensure items are labeled and priced properly.
• Protect products by tagging, monitoring stock, and reporting issues.
• Follow safety regulations and report accidents or near misses.
