Job summary

Five Below is seeking a Store Manager on Duty to lead crew members in delivering WOW customer experiences at the point of sale. You will train staff on the BEST service standards and supervise daily activities to ensure fast, friendly checkouts and exceptional store presentation.

You will oversee opening/closing, cash handling, security, and adherence to policies while enabling a safe, energetic, fun atmosphere for guests and team members alike.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of management experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task and stay composed under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Ensure crew members wow customers through personal contact.
• Train the crew on the BEST customer service experience; ensuring a fast, friendly checkout.
• Oversee daily store activities and ensure staff perform duties effectively and deliver great service.
• Assist with receiving, unpacking, and organizing new stock for quick placement on the sales floor.
• Act as Manager on Duty, overseeing store operations, staff management, and urgent issues.
• Open or close the store, secure cash, lock doors, set alarms, and ensure smooth daily operations.
• Support onboarding and ongoing training of associates on policies, product knowledge, and procedures.
• Drive store sales and control expenses through merchandising, staff performance, and customer service improvements.
• Partner with store leadership on merchandising procedures and World Recovery.
• Perform store maintenance such as cleaning, sweeping, and stocking tasks.
