Family Dollar in Upper Marlboro, MD is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with daily activities, help customers, and maintain stockrooms and floor layouts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Excellent customer service and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers with questions or concerns.
• Move merchandise from delivery to stockroom and floor, maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering, processing damaged goods, payroll, scheduling and cash deposits.
• Protect store assets and ensure policies are followed.
• Train and develop store associates.
• Maintain a safe, respectful environment for customers and staff.
