Family Dollar Stores Of Maryland LLC in Hagerstown, MD is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service and team development. You will assist with daily store functions, help customers, organize merchandise, and ensure displays are well-maintained.

The role involves opening and closing procedures, payroll and scheduling, loss prevention, and training store associates while maintaining a safe, friendly environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read and explain operational directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical duties including walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing and pulling.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor; maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures; process directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays; assist in ordering merchandise and handling damaged merchandise.
• Support payroll, scheduling, cash handling and loss prevention; maintain a clean and stock-ready store.
• Assist Store Manager in supervising, training, and developing Store Associates; ensure a safe environment.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store, restrooms, floors and stockroom; ensure neat and presentable areas.
