Job summary

Goodwill of Central and Coastal Virginia is seeking a capable leader to help run a retail location, donation site and in-store production facility. In the absence of store management, you will direct tasks of associates and ensure store goals are met, while modeling professional behavior.

You will monitor progress toward goals, maintain high cleanliness and presentation standards, and promote exceptional customer service.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience in a retail or service setting.
• Strong communication and customer-service orientation.
• Ability to drive results and manage teams.
• Proven ability to onboard, train and appraise staff.

Responsibilities

• Run store operations in absence of store/assistant manager.
• Monitor associates' progress toward goals and production targets.
• Participate in production to meet store goals as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness and visual merchandise standards at all times.
• Model exceptional customer service for staff and customers.
• Assist management with onboarding, meetings and performance reviews.
• Gather and act on feedback from customers and associates.
• Use daily sales and reports to identify trends and opportunities.
• Submit closing, incident and compliance reports on time when needed.
• Communicate issues with store operations and personnel to leadership.
• Identify opportunities to improve store efficiencies, processes and people development.
