Job summary

Goodwill of Central and Coastal Virginia is seeking a Retail Lead Associate (Finance) to help run a busy store, donation site, and production facility. You will step in for the store manager in their absence, oversee staff, and ensure standards in merchandising, service, and operations.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma (or GED) and at least one year in a leadership role. You should be able to lift up to 50 pounds and be available evenings/weekends as business needs dictate.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred; will consider education combined with work experience.
• 1 year leadership experience preferred.
• No professional certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Run store operations in the absence of store/assistant manager.
• Monitor associates' progress toward goals and production metrics.
• Participate in production to meet store goals as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness and visual merchandising standards at all times.
• Model exceptional customer service for staff and customers.
• Assist management with onboarding, meetings, and appraisals.
• Solicit feedback and act on it to improve operations.
• Use daily/production/sales reports to identify trends and inform decisions.
• Submit closing, accident, risk training, and Kronos reports when needed.
• Communicate with supervisors about operational or personnel issues.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, processes, and people development.
• Fully participate in meetings and training opportunities.
