Job summary

Cumberland Farms in New Milford, CT is seeking a Guest Service Leader to support store operations and lead by example. You will guide team members, greet guests, and ensure a fast, friendly, and reliable shopping experience.

The role offers opportunities to coach staff, maintain in-store standards, and help manage day-to-day activities including shift leadership in the Store Manager’s absence. Open to part-time or full-time schedules to fit team needs.

Qualifications

• Minimum experience: 6 months as a Guest Service Associate.
• Preferred experience: 6-12 months in retail, guest service or restaurant.
• ServSafe /Food Safety certification a plus but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests in a friendly manner and assist with checkout to minimize wait times.
• Maintain store appearance, cleanliness, and stock levels including coffee station and food service areas.
• Lead by example, coach team members, and support the Store Manager in day-to-day operations.
• Provide training and direction to fellow team members; assume lead role in Store Manager’s absence.
• Ensure food service safety and adherence to company processes; prioritize guest safety.
• Perform additional duties as needed by Store Manager or supervisor.
