Job summary

Ashley Furniture, a global leader in home furnishings with 75 years of experience, seeks a Customer Service Representative in Las Cruces. You will greet customers, process sales orders, manage accounts, handle cash, and support store operations to ensure a seamless shopping experience.

You will use POS systems and Microsoft Office to maintain records, respond to inquiries, and collaborate with sales and merchandising teams.

Qualifications

• Legally authorized to work in the US.
• At least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledgeable Microsoft Office Suite and system transactions.
• 1 year of customer service, office, and/or administrative experience, preferred.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays; including rotation for store opening and closing responsibilities–various shifts.
• Thrive in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Front Desk & Customer Service: Greet all customers in a warm, professional manner representing Ashley's brand image; provide exceptional service across in-person, phone, and email interactions.
• Sales Order Support: Assist with processing sales orders accurately and ensure documentation and approvals.
• Customer Account Management: Process credit applications, assist with financing, and maintain customer account information.
• Cash Handling & Financial Procedures: Follow cash handling procedures, process payments, and reconcile transactions under Office Manager supervision.
• Customer Issue Resolution: Address inquiries and concerns, escalating complex issues when needed and following up for resolution.
• Audit & Compliance Assistance: Support audits, inventory, and compliance checks by gathering documentation.
• Reporting & Documentation: Maintain records, prepare routine reports, and file paperwork according to standards.
• Team Collaboration: Work with sales, merchandising, and store staff to ensure a seamless customer experience.
• Technology & Systems: Use POS systems, retail management software, Microsoft Office, and other tools to perform duties accurately.
• Complete any additional tasks as assigned by management.
