Ashley Furniture is seeking a Customer Service Representative to be the front-line ambassador in our Gurnee, IL store. You will provide friendly service across in-person, phone, and email interactions and support store operations with administrative tasks.

The role emphasizes handling sales orders, account administration, and cash handling under supervision. We welcome candidates with strong Microsoft Office skills and a customer-service mindset.

Qualifications

• Legally authorized to work in the US.
• At least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledgeable with Microsoft Office Suite and system transactions.
• 1 year of customer service, office, and/or administrative experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly in person, on the phone, and via email, delivering exceptional service.
• Process sales orders accurately and obtain necessary approvals.
• Manage customer accounts and credit applications; maintain accurate records in retail systems.
• Handle cash and process payments according to policy under supervision.
• Address customer inquiries and resolve issues, escalating when needed.
• Assist with audits, inventory, and compliance documentation.
