Heart of Texas Goodwill is seeking a Retail Lead to assist in store operations, lead associates, and ensure a high standard of customer service, merchandising, and cash handling. The role involves working with the store team to run the sales floor efficiently in the absence of management.

The position requires supervising staff, training, and ensuring adherence to company policies, while supporting the organization's mission to fund community programs.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in retail sales, preferably in a supervisory or team lead role.
• Experience overseeing daily store operations, including inventory management, merchandising, and staff supervision.
• Strong background in training, coaching, and motivating a diverse team to meet sales and operational goals.
• Familiarity with loss prevention, safety protocols, and adherence to company policies.
• Demonstrated ability to handle customer issues, manage schedules, and ensure a high level of store performance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee customer service to ensure a friendly, clean environment and consistently excellent service.
• Train and supervise retail associates and program participants as needed.
• Provide input to store manager on employee performance.
• Manage register procedures, opening/closing, counting funds, and deposits.
• Safeguard cash handling and company property; perform cash pickups as needed.
• Ensure product flow and rotation on the sales floor and maintain fitting rooms.
