Job summary

Heart of Texas Goodwill is seeking a Retail Lead to support store operations and deliver excellent customer service on the sales floor in Waco, TX. You will supervise staff, assist with merchandising, and ensure accurate register procedures while protecting company assets.

The role emphasizes leadership, training, and adherence to safety policies, with duties spanning daily cash handling, inventory, and merchandising tasks to meet program revenue goals.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in retail sales, preferably in a supervisory or team lead role.
• Experience overseeing daily store operations, including inventory management, merchandising, and staff supervision.
• Strong background in training, coaching, and motivating a diverse team to meet sales and operational goals.
• Familiarity with loss prevention, safety protocols, and adherence to company policies.
• Demonstrated ability to handle customer issues, manage schedules, and ensure a high level of store performance.

Responsibilities

• Ensures that each customer receives excellent service by providing a friendly and clean environment.
• Trains and may directly supervise retail associates and program participants.
• Provides input to the store manager regarding employee performance as needed.
• Accurately performs all basic register procedures and manager functions.
• Maintains proper cash controls and performs cash pickups as needed.
• Completes necessary departmental and store paperwork.
• Ensures product flow and rotation on the sales floor.
• Maintains fitting rooms and front-end cleanliness.
• Works various shifts, including weekends.
