Heart of Texas Goodwill Industries, Inc. in College Station, TX, seeks an Assistant Store Manager to partner with the Store Manager to plan, direct, and coordinate daily store operations, coaching staff to reach performance goals, and lead on site in the manager's absence.

This role covers store operations, merchandising, customer and donor experience, compliance, and reporting, with a focus on budgeting, staffing, and delivering excellent service to the community while upholding Goodwill values.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Retail experience with supervisory or team lead responsibilities preferred.
• Experience with inventory, merchandising, and staffing is desirable.
• Ability to handle cash and financial transactions.

Responsibilities

• Store Operations & Merchandising: maintain merchandise flow, stock levels, and store presentation, and manage expenses.
• Team Leadership & Workforce Management: assist in staffing, training, and evaluating staff; lead in Store Manager’s absence.
• Customer & Donor Experience: provide excellent service to shoppers and donors; communicate effectively with staff and leadership.
• Compliance & Reporting: maintain cash controls and timely completion of reports.
• Supervisory Duties: supervise store staff in partnership with Store Manager and assume authority in Manager’s absence.
