Job summary

Ashley Furniture is seeking a Customer Service Representative to serve as the front-line ambassador in our Madison Heights store. You will greet customers, process orders, manage accounts, assist with financing, and ensure all documentation is complete and accurate.

The role supports store operations and requires a strong customer-service mindset. Ideal candidates will have a HS diploma, at least 1 year in customer service or office work, and solid knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year of customer service, office, and/or administrative experience preferred.
• Knowledgeable Microsoft Office Suite and system transactions.

Responsibilities

• Front Desk & Customer Service: Greet customers warmly and professionally across in-person, phone, and email channels.
• Sales Order Support: Process sales orders accurately with required documents and approvals.
• Customer Account Management: Handle credit applications, financing arrangements, and keep account info updated.
• Cash Handling & Financial Procedures: Follow cash handling procedures and reconcile transactions.
• Customer Issue Resolution: Address inquiries, escalate complex issues, and follow up for resolution.
• Audit & Compliance Assistance: Support audits and verify paperwork accuracy.
• Reporting & Documentation: Maintain records and prepare routine reports.
• Team Collaboration: Work with sales, merchandising, and store staff to ensure smooth operations.
• Technology & Systems: Use POS, retail software and Office tools to perform duties.
