Job summary

Ashley Furniture Industries is seeking a Customer Service Representative to be the front-line ambassador for our Texas stores. You will deliver exceptional service to every customer, assist with administrative tasks, process sales orders, manage customer accounts, and support daily store operations using POS systems and Microsoft Office.

Ideal candidates are legally authorized to work in the US, 18+, with a high school diploma and 1 year of customer service experience.

Qualifications

• Legally authorized to work in the US.
• At least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year of customer service, office, and/or administrative experience, preferred.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays; including rotation for store opening and closing responsibilities – various shifts.
• Maintain reliable attendance.
• Thrive in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Front Desk & Customer Service: Greet all customers in a warm, professional manner, representing Ashley's brand image.
• Sales Order Support: Assist with processing sales orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring documentation and approvals are obtained.
• Customer Account Management: Process customer credit applications, assist with financing arrangements, and maintain accurate customer account information.
• Cash Handling & Financial Procedures: Follow cash handling procedures, process payments accurately, and reconcile transactions under supervision.
• Customer Issue Resolution: Address inquiries and concerns professionally, escalate to Management as needed, and follow up for resolution.
• Audit & Compliance Assistance: Support Management with audits and inventory documentation, verifying paperwork accuracy.
• Reporting & Documentation: Maintain records, prepare routine reports, and file sales and office paperwork per standards.
• Team Collaboration: Work with sales, merchandising, and store staff to ensure seamless customer experience.
• Technology & Systems: Use POS systems, retail software, and Microsoft Office to perform duties.
• Complete any additional tasks as assigned.
