Job summary

Micro Center is seeking self‑motivated, results‑driven Retail Computer Technicians to join our team. Starting at $15/hour with incentives to raise hourly rates up to $18‑$35 + SPIFFs, you will assist customers at the service counter and in‑shop with diagnosing and repairing devices.

Role includes consultations, data backups, antivirus guidance, and warranty options, plus BYO computer builds. Flexible schedules and comprehensive benefits accompany career growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required; related computer service repair or customer service preferred.
• CompTIA A+ or Apple ACMT/ACiT certifications, or ability to certify within 90 days.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to multi-task.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods.
• Shifts may include mornings, nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-person consultations and troubleshooting at the service counter for computers and related products.
• Suggest service solutions like data backups, antivirus, warranties, and subscriptions.
• Diagnose hardware or software issues on desktops, laptops, phones, TVs, and monitors.
• Assist in assembling custom computers for BYO sales team.
• Maintain accurate documentation and certifications, stay up-to-date on products and tech.
• Handle customer transactions at the till and maintain a clean, organized work area.
