Job summary

Micro Center, the nation’s leading computer and electronics retailer, is hiring Retail Computer Technicians. Starting at $15/hour with incentives to increase hourly rates to $18-$35 + SPIFFs, you will help customers at the service counter and in-store shop for repair and service options.

You will diagnose devices, guide customers through repairs, and maintain clear communication about repair status. There are opportunities for training, certification, and career advancement.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; one year related computer service repair or tech customer service preferred.
• CompTIA A+ certification or Apple ACMT/ACiT certifications, or ability to be certified within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-person consultations and troubleshooting at the service counter for computers and related products.
• Recommend service solutions including data backups, anti-virus, extended warranties, and subscriptions.
• Diagnose and document hardware or software problems on desktops, laptops, mobiles, TVs, and monitors.
