Job summary

MICRO CENTER seeks self-motivated Retail Computer Technicians to support service counter customers and shop diagnostics. You will troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair a range of computer devices while guiding customers through repair status and service options.

Starting at $15/hour with incentives to raise hourly rates up to $18-$35 plus SPIFFs, the role includes potential commissions and a focus on customer service excellence. Equal opportunity employer in a dynamic retail environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with one year related computer service repair or technical customer service experience preferred.
• CompTIA A+ certification or Apple ACMT/ACiT certifications, or ability to be certified within 90 days of hire.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to multi-task and adjust priorities.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-person consultations and troubleshooting at the service counter for computers and related products.
• Recommend service solutions including data backups, antivirus, warranties, and subscriptions.
• Identify, diagnose, and document hardware or software issues on desktops, laptops, mobile devices, TVs, and monitors.
