Job summary

DICK’S Sporting Goods is seeking a Climbing Lead to drive our in-store climbing program, mentor guides and deliver outstanding customer service. You will oversee daily rock wall operations, ensure safety standards, and train teammates in climbing techniques and program execution.

You will collaborate with store leadership to schedule sessions, manage equipment, and deliver consultative product knowledge to climbers of all ages and skill levels, while upholding company policies and values.

Qualifications

• Retail or customer-focused experience preferred.
• Climbing certification required.
• Applicants must be at least 18 years old to comply with labor laws.

Responsibilities

• Lead the climbing department operations and workflow.
• Instruct climbing techniques for all ages and experience levels.
• Supervise climb sessions and ensure safety standards.
• Provide consultative product knowledge to customers.
• Coordinate training programs for teammates.
• Assist with scheduling and store operations as needed.
• Maintain safety SOPs and loss prevention measures.
