DICK’S Sporting Goods is seeking a Climbing Lead to drive the in-store rock wall experience and lead the climb department under the Assistant Store Manager. You will outfit customers, activate climbing experiences, and run training programs for teammates and customers.

You will monitor safety, supervise sessions, and maintain product knowledge across merchandise in the climbing area while ensuring top-tier customer service and adherence to company standards.

Qualifications

• Flexible availability - including nights, weekend, and holidays.
• Prior retail sales experience (or customer-focused experience) preferred.
• Climbing certification required.
• Applicants must be at least 18 years old to comply with applicable labor laws and job-specific requirements.

Responsibilities

• As the Climbing Lead, you will drive the engagement, training and educational programs for customers and teammates in climbing.
• Monitor climbing activities and assist climbers; oversee daily operations of the climb department under the Assistant Store Manager.
• Ensure high levels of customer service and consultative product knowledge in the rock wall area.
• Instruct climbing techniques for explorers of all ages and experience levels; teach instructional lessons as needed.
