Job summary

DICK'S Sporting Goods is seeking a Climbing Lead to drive the climb department, engage customers, and coach teammates in the store’s rock wall experiences. You will oversee daily operations, ensure safety standards, and deliver expert product knowledge to climbers of all ages.

You will instruct climbing techniques, teach lessons upon request, supervise sessions, and help maintain presentation standards while collaborating with management on staff development and scheduling.

Qualifications

• Flexible availability - including nights, weekend, and holidays.
• Climbing certification required.
• Prior retail sales experience or customer-focused experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the climbing department and staff, oversee daily operations and safety.
• Instruct climbing techniques and teach lessons for all ages.
• Provide consultative product knowledge and exceptional customer service to guests.
• Supervise climb sessions and maintain merchandise presentation and floor sets.
• Assist in scheduling, training, and cross-training teammates; support management as needed.
