Job summary

Rack Room Shoes is seeking an Assistant Manager to help oversee daily store operations and sales performance. You will lead staff, ensure policy compliance, and deliver excellent customer service. The role includes training, scheduling, payroll, and asset protection to meet sales and service goals.

In this position, you will collaborate with store management and district partners to uphold presentation standards and operational excellence across floor operations.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail management or supervisor roles.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to train and guide store staff effectively.
• Knowledge of merchandising and loss prevention basics.
• Familiarity with POS procedures and payroll handling.

Responsibilities

• Primary responsibility is the safety and welfare of employees and customers.
• Create, establish and maintain an excellent customer shopping experience.
• All POS terminal transactions in accordance with policy and procedure.
• Inventory control, pricing changes and stock management.
• Merchandising, visual presentation and housekeeping standards.
• Payroll control, scheduling and attendance tracking.
• Training and development of direct reports and staff.
