Job summary

The Rack Room Shoes Assistant Manager assists the Store Manager in running all daily store operations, while ensuring policy compliance and exceptional customer service. You will lead, train and guide staff, stepping in for the Store Manager when needed to maintain performance and store standards.

You will drive sales, supervise merchandising, inventory, scheduling and payroll processes, and foster a safe, welcoming shopping environment for customers and employees alike.

Responsibilities

• Safety and welfare of employees and customers.

• Manage POS transactions, sales, discounts, refunds and loyalty.
• Inventory control: shipping/receiving, price changes, markdowns, damage and physical counts.
• Merchandising and visual presentation to company standards.
• Payroll control including scheduling and attendance tracking.
• Training and development of direct reports and adherence to policies.
• Loss prevention and protection of company assets.
• Develop understanding of day-to-day store operations.
