Job summary

Roses/Roses Express in Glen Burnie, MD is seeking an Assistant Manager/Key Carrier to deliver excellent customer service and support the Store Manager with daily operations to meet company goals.

Responsibilities include hiring, training and developing team members, opening/closing procedures, safeguarding assets, stocking merchandise, maintaining store standards, and directing hourly staff in the manager's absence. Flexibility for full- or part-time hours required.

Qualifications

• Prefer prior retail and management experience.
• Effective communication, interpersonal, and written skills.
• Ability to lift, bend and transport merchandise up to 50lbs; frequent walking, standing, and various movements.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the hiring, training and development of store team members as delegated by the Store Manager.
• Assist with all store functions and day-to-day store activities as directed by the Store Manager.
• Open and close procedures in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Assist in protecting and securing all company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines.
• Maintain a professional and friendly environment with customers and staff.
• Maintain stockroom and sales floor to company standards, including recovery.
• Direct hourly team members when Store Manager is not on premises.
• Process all SSC Corporate directives and manage freight flow.
