Job summary

Roses/Roses Express in Brooklyn Park, MD is seeking an Assistant Manager/Key Carrier to support the Store Manager and deliver excellent customer service while helping run daily operations. You will assist with hiring, training and supervising team members, manage opening/closing procedures, protect assets, and ensure a clean, sales-focused environment.

The role requires flexibility for full-time or part-time hours, strong communication, and a commitment to safety and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Prefer prior retail and management experience.
• Effective communication, interpersonal, and written skills.
• Ability to lift, bend and transport merchandise weighing up to 50lbs; frequent standing and walking.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the hiring, training and development of store team members as delegated by the Store Manager
• Assist with all store functions and day-to-day store activities as directed by the Store Manager
• Open and close procedures in the absence of the Store Manager
• Protect and secure all company assets, including store cash
• Adhere to all policies and procedures including safety guidelines
• Maintain a professional and friendly environment with customers, subordinates, and supervisors
• Maintain all areas of the store, including the stockroom and sales floor, to company standards
• Direct supervisory responsibility for all hourly Team Members when the Store Manager is not on the premises
• Process all SSC Corporate directives
• Assist in receipt and return of DSD merchandise
• Assist in management of freight flow
• Meet or exceed productivity standards
• Assist in ordering and stocking all merchandise needs
• Maintain stockroom organization
• Ensure the sales floor is sales effective daily
• Plan and implement directives in the Store Operations Weekly Bulletin
