Job summary

Old Navy, part of Gap Inc., is seeking an Assistant Manager to set the store tone and coach the team toward a best‑in‑class customer experience. You will drive profitable sales through customer and product operations, merchandising and talent development, coordinating with leadership to execute the store strategy.

You will mentor Leads and Brand Associates, ensure procedural compliance, and participate in community engagement while supporting omni‑channel initiatives to create seamless shopping.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of retail management experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities.
• Ability to mentor and coach team members.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, holidays and weekends.
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and move around the store floor and stockroom.

Responsibilities

• Drive store sales and deliver results through a customer-centric mindset.
• Recruit, hire and develop Brand Associates and Experts.
• Own assigned area of responsibility and implement action plans.
• Perform Service Leader duties and ensure SOPs are followed.
• Represent the brand and monitor retail landscape and competition.
• Promote community involvement and leverage omni-channel experiences.
• Ensure compliance with all standards and procedures.
