Job summary

Lowe’s is seeking an Asset Protection professional to coach and train associates on shrink awareness and theft deterrence, while promoting excellent customer service. You will partner with Store and AP leadership to spot theft trends and implement proactive action plans, maintaining a safe store environment and supporting law enforcement when needed.

The role involves conducting external theft apprehensions, overseeing surveillance operations, and driving audit feedback to reduce loss.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent experience.
• If state/local rules require a salesperson license, obtain or pass licensing within 60 days of start.
• Experience in loss prevention and retail investigations is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coach and train associates and leaders on shrink awareness and theft deterrence.
• Partner with Store and AP leadership to identify theft trends and promote awareness initiatives.
• Deliver effective customer service and ensure associates have resources to do so.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and secure store environment by monitoring entrances, exits, and high‑risk areas.
• Monitor activity using surveillance, reporting, and exception-based tools to detect theft and policy violations.
• Conduct external theft apprehensions and interviews in line with laws and policy.
• Investigate criminal activity, maintain case files, and support law enforcement.
• Validate store security measures and respond to alarms and emergency triggers.
• Provide feedback on audit findings to minimize shrink and risk.
• Respond to potentially violent situations with safety and composure.
