Job summary

Meijer Inc. is seeking an Area Leader to drive team engagement, coaching, and performance across a span of care.

You will lead Leads and Team Leaders, manage onboarding, development, and succession planning, and ensure achievement of area operations and financial goals. The role requires 4+ years in retail or customer service, a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, and a demonstrated ability to analyze financial data, communicate clearly, and foster an inclusive environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years of retail/grocery or customer service experience.
• Proven leadership experience and ability to coach and develop others.
• Strong communication skills to provide clear direction.
• Ability to analyze financial data and make informed decisions.

Responsibilities

• Engage with team members to ensure effective onboarding, coaching and development.
• Identify talent and support succession planning for store staffing and leadership roles.
• Oversee area operations and drive financial performance, including budget management and productivity.
• Ensure safety, compliance and maintenance of store conditions.
