SWCA Environmental Consultants is seeking a Project Restoration Engineer to advance ecological restoration and water resource projects across the Great Lakes and the U.S. The role involves designing stream and wetland restorations, living shorelines, and nature-based infrastructure, with strong focus on hydraulics, hydrology, and geomorphology.

Responsibilities include field data collection, reporting, construction drawings, and permitting.

Qualifications

• Four years of ecosystem restoration design experience required.
• Ability to travel up to 20% for field data collection and client meetings.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and hydraulic/hydrologic modeling.
• Strong design/reporting skills and knowledge of regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical tasks, schedules, budgets, and deliverables for restoration projects.
• Develop stream, wetland restoration, living shorelines and nature-based infrastructure designs.
• Perform field investigations and analyses to optimize solutions.
• Create construction drawings, specs, and contract documents to guide implementation.
• Oversee permitting processes and collaborate with agencies.
