Job summary

HMSHost is hiring a Manager I to assist branch management in executing QSR-style restaurant operations. The role ensures the restaurant is clean, staffed, and runs to high standards, applying prescribed policies to guide decisions.

Responsibilities include opening/closing procedures, supervising associates, participating in interviews and hiring input, scheduling, and ensuring safety and health compliance. On-site with varied shifts and hours weekly.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years food & beverage, cash handling, and customer service experience.
• Minimum of 6 months supervisory or lead experience in a restaurant or production kitchen.
• Ability to read, write and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and policy documents, and converse with customers.

Responsibilities

• Completes opening, daily and closing procedures/checklists in accordance with company policies/procedures.
• Assists the AGM/GM in managing day-to-day activities of associates within a defined group of restaurants or points-of-sale.
• Participates in interviewing, provides input on hiring, and recommends staff changes to the GM.
• Assigns work tasks and activities, prepares schedules, and ensures shifts are covered.
• Active ensures mandated rest breaks and meals are taken by associates.
• Places orders, receives goods, processes invoices, and maintains current associate contact information.
• Maintains cleanliness and visual appeal of display areas and ensures equipment is in good working order.
• Monitors wellness and safety procedures, reports safety concerns, and adheres to Health and Safety guidelines.
