Job summary

HMSHost is seeking a Manager I to assist branch management and run daily QSR or similar restaurant operations. You will ensure the restaurant is clean, staffed, and operates to high standards using prescribed policies to guide decisions.

Key duties include opening/closing procedures, staff supervision, interviewing support, scheduling, and adherence to wellness and safety protocols. This non-exempt role reports to the GM or Ops Director.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years in food and beverage, cash handling, and customer service.
• Minimum of 6 months supervisory or lead experience in a restaurant or production kitchen.
• Ability to speak, read, and understand instructions and policy documents; communicate with customers.

Responsibilities

• Completes opening, daily, and closing procedures and checklists per policy.
• Supervises day-to-day activities of associates within the unit.
• Participates in hiring input and recommends changes to the GM.
• Assigns tasks, prepares schedules, and ensures all shifts are covered.
• Ensures breaks and meals are taken by all associates as mandated.
• Maintains clean, stocked, and appealing display areas.
• Ensures all equipment is in good working order.
• Operates cash register and handles transactions per cash policies and security.
• Monitors wellness and safety procedures and reports concerns to the GM.
• Participates in all Health and Safety activities per policy guidelines.
• Places orders, receives goods, and processes invoices.
• Maintains current contact information for all associates in the unit.
