Job summary

HMSHost is seeking a Manager I to support branch management in executing QSR-style restaurant operations. You will ensure the restaurant is clean, staffed, and operating to high standards, using prescribed policies to guide decisions.

You will open, run, and close shifts, supervise associates, participate in hiring decisions, and maintain safety and sanitation compliance across the unit.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years in food and beverage, cash handling, and customer service.
• Minimum 6 months of supervisory or lead restaurant experience.
• Ability to read, speak and understand instructions and policy documents, and converse with customers.

Responsibilities

• Completes opening, daily and closing procedures in accordance with HMSHost policies.
• Assists the AGM/GM by supervising day-to-day activities of associates within the unit.
• Participates in hiring input and supports promotions or terminations to the GM.
• Assigns tasks, prepares schedules, and ensures shifts are covered.
• Ensures breaks and meals are taken and compliance with safety guidelines.
• Maintains cleanliness, stocking, and visual appeal of display areas.
• Ensures equipment is in good working order and handles cash transactions per policy.
• Monitors wellness and safety procedures and reports concerns to the GM.
• Performs Health and Safety activities as specified in the Manager's guide.
• Places orders, receives goods, and processes invoices.
• Keeps current contact information for all restaurant associates.
