Job summary

HMSHost is seeking a Manager I to support branch management in executing QSR-style restaurant operations. The role ensures the restaurant is clean, staffed, and operating to high standards, using standard policies to guide decisions.

The position reports to the General Manager or Operations Director, involves rotating shifts, and requires supervisory experience in a food-service environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years in food and beverage, cash handling and customer service.
• Minimum 6 months supervisory or lead experience in a restaurant or production kitchen.
• Ability to read, understand instructions and policy documents, and converse with customers.

Responsibilities

• Complete opening, daily and closing procedures per company policies.
• Supervise day-to-day activities of associates within the unit.
• Participate in interviewing and hiring input for associates.
• Assign tasks and prepare schedules to ensure full shift coverage.
• Ensure mandated rest breaks and meal periods are taken.
• Maintain clean, stocked and visually appealing display areas.
• Ensure equipment is in good working order and cash handling is compliant.
• Operate cash register and manage transactions per policies.
• Monitor wellness and safety procedures and report concerns.
• Support Health & Safety activities as specified in the health & safety guide.
• Place orders, receive goods and process invoices for the unit.
• Keep contact information for all associates up to date.
