Job summary

HMSHost is seeking a Manager I to support branch management in QSR-style restaurant operations. You will ensure a clean, ready-for-business environment, proper staffing, and adherence to high operational standards using prescribed policies.

You will oversee opening/closing, supervise associates, participate in hiring decisions, manage schedules, and ensure safety and health compliance across shifts. This role requires on-site work and strong leadership in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• 2+ years food & beverage, cash handling, and customer service experience
• 6 months supervisory or lead experience in a restaurant or production kitchen
• Ability to read and understand instructions and policy documents

Responsibilities

• Completes opening, daily and closing procedures/checklists per policies
• Supervises day-to-day activities of associates within unit
• Participates in interviewing and recommends personnel actions
• Assigns tasks, prepares schedules, ensures shifts are covered
• Ensures rest breaks and meal periods are observed
• Keeps display areas clean, stocked, and visually appealing
• Ensures equipment is in good working order
• Operates cash register and handles cash per policies
• Monitors wellness and safety procedures and reports concerns
• Executes Health & Safety activities per guidelines
• Places orders, receives goods, processes invoices
• Maintains current contact information for all associates
