Job summary

HMSHost is seeking a Manager II to support branch management in executing complex QSR or Casual Dine operations, ensuring the restaurant is clean, staffed and ready for business. The role applies policies to sustain high operational standards and safe, compliant service.

The Manager II will lead day-to-day activities, supervise associates, and collaborate with the GM to deliver excellent guest service while maintaining safety, schedule adherence, and quality control across the unit.

Qualifications

• Requires minimum 4 years food & beverage, cash handling, and customer service experience.
• Requires minimum 2 years supervisory or lead experience in a Casual Dine restaurant or production kitchen.
• Requires the ability to speak, read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and policy documents, as well as converse comfortably with customers.

Responsibilities

• Completes opening, daily and closing procedures/checklists in accordance with company policies/procedures.
• Assists the GM/AGM by supervising day-to-day activities of associates within a defined unit or group of restaurants.
• Ensures compliance with all company adult beverage policies and AB procedures.
• Participates in the interview process and provides input on hiring, promotions, or terminations.
• Assigns tasks, prepares schedules and ensures shifts are covered.
• Ensures associates take mandated breaks and meal periods.
• Maintains clean, stocked and visually appealing display areas and ensures equipment is in good working order.
• Operates cash register and follows cash handling policies, maintaining security of cash.
