Job summary

HMSHost is seeking a Manager I for our Portland operation to ensure high standards of service, cleanliness, and efficiency. The role supports the General Manager and assists in coordinating daily restaurant activities, staffing, and safety compliance.

Ideal candidates bring 2+ years in food and beverage with supervisory experience, strong cash-handling skills, and excellent guest service. This on-site role offers growth in a fast-paced hospitality environment at the airport location.

Qualifications

• Requires 2+ years in food and beverage, cash handling, and customer service.
• Requires 6 months supervisory or lead experience in a restaurant or production kitchen.
• Ability to read and understand instructions and policy documents, and converse comfortably with customers.

Responsibilities

• Opens, runs, and closes the restaurant per procedures.
• Supervises daily activities of associates and shifts coverage.
• Participates in interviewing, hiring recommendations, and promotions with the GM.
• Assigns tasks, prepares schedules, and ensures shifts are covered.
• Ensures cleanliness and display areas are inviting and compliant with standards.
• Operates cash register and processes transactions per policy.
