Job summary

HMSHost in Kahului, Hawaii seeks a Manager I to assist branch management in tactically executing QSR or similar restaurant operations. You will ensure the restaurant is clean, ready for business, staffed, and runs to high standards, using company policies to guide decisions.

This role reports to the AGM/GM and involves supervising associates, participating in hiring decisions, scheduling, cash handling, health and safety compliance, and ordering goods.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years in food and beverage, cash handling and customer service.
• Minimum of 6 months supervisory or lead experience in a restaurant or production kitchen.
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions, and communicate with customers.

Responsibilities

• Completes opening, daily and closing procedures according to policies.
• Supervises day-to-day activities of associates within a defined unit.
• Participates in interviewing and hiring decisions and recommends staffing changes.
• Assigns tasks, prepares schedules, and ensures shifts are covered.
• Ensures rest breaks and meal periods are taken and safety standards followed.
• Keeps display areas clean, stocked, and visually appealing; ensures equipment works.
• Operates cash register and handles cash per policies and security standards.
• Monitors wellness and safety, reports safety concerns to the GM.
• Performs Health and Safety activities as per policy.
• Places orders, receives goods, and processes invoices.
• Maintains current contact information for associates.
